It's been a tough quest to take all three color phases of squirrel here in Michigan.
Last night I took the third color phase and one of the rarest in my woods, the black squirrel. We have tons of the red or "fox" and lots of grays but finding a black phase is far and few.
If I did find one it either busted me before I got close enough or I missed. :D Last night I was dead on.

Cool deal on the "squirrel Slam"!
Congrats, Arwin!
Bisch
very cool. i always wanted to get black squirrel
You ought to save that hide and have it soft tanned. Way to go Arwin!
Sweet......
,Sam,
That's awesome, congrats! I have a white albino squirrel mounted but i have always wanted a black one to go along with it.
That is awesome!!
Congrats on a beautiful trophy.
Northern PA is FULL of the black ones. Hunting turkeys this weekend in Centre county, we saw at least 6 different ones between 10 guys. I guess that is not a lot compared to the greys but still a lot for a small area. I shot one last year while squirrel hunting with the 22 and still have the hide in my freezer.
"Squirrel Slam"; I like that!
Congrates sir!
