Hello all, not long been a member of this site and have enjoyed reading about and seeing some of the many bows posted here, i also love some of the other stuff. I am from the uk and have been making bows for about 4 years in between many children so i don't get to make as many as i would like so i am still an amateur at this and will be for the rest of my life probably lol even so i love it with a passion as such i though i might share some images of my latest bow..
the bow is 62" inch NTN with Purpleheart V spliced levers, Ash main body and black buffalo horn overlays 40lb at 25" draw...

Beautiful work...ever since I first saw you post a pic of this bow I've been tossing around the idea of the same profile/layout but in some local Sassafrass for the body and Mohagany for the levers...
Beautiful Job!
Outstanding job...I've never seen that before.

That is a very cool bow! Excellent detail and tiller. How about building another as a build-along? In your spare time, that is ;)
Is the strength of the glue all that is holding that together?
Thanks and God bless you, Steve
My Goodness! That is one awesome looking bow! :clapper:

Bruce Martin: would love to do a build along...ummm spare time ....whats that lol
rainshooter: hi bro good to see ya to, just in the process of doing another, been inspired some lunies with big bows lol
sixby: Yes mate the glues all that's holding it.. the splices are just over 4 inches in length so there is a good area holding and the splices are as well fitted as i could get them. lol i was a bit worried at first but i knew the joints where good so i soon gained confidence...

A beauty for sure!
Very nice indeed.
Agro, What type glue did you use on the splice, please?
That is one of the most attractive bows I've seen.
Good job.

Outstanding!
That's pretty darn good, only 4 years you say?!?
Looks awesome :)
Hello I am hoping you are still active, how did you get such a nice bend in the purpleheart levers with that thickness
You may have to experiment on your own.
Try dry heat or steam. Both
You can laminate thin pieces on a curved form also.
