Post by: shikari on October 05, 2008, 05:14:00 PM
This is my first laminated bow,45#@28,shoots very flat and smooth,no handshock or stacking and smooth, the lams were from Kennym(excellent).Taught me a lot of what not to do with the next one.

compared to your work mine is rudementary at best,I must say your work is the meaning of your name in my language.Hera means diamond and your bows look like jwels compared to this one i made.this bow was practice for a real hornbow, the materials for which i am collecting.
thanks

Hi:  Gorgeous bow!  How the heck do you string it?  Most bows I've seen like that bend backwards when unstrung.  What's the secret?
Thanks

I use a homemade stringer, seems the safest way to do it.I am starting on another one soon.
Thanks

Do you use a board with movable pegs in it to string your bow the way it was done long ago?
