You'll have to wait till I get the skins and some finish on for more pictures. This bow turned out pretty well for a sliver of a belly split, it's pretty thin, 56" 40# @28". Here's Moma, this is a stave I got from Marty Horn at MOjam, thanks Marty, she's a beauty.

Man, she wriggles just sittin' there!
That next stave will be interesting, too, if you let us watch.
Killdeer~can you trust a guy with a shop that clean?
Awesome...can't wait for more pics!
Ray ;)
Looking forward to seeing this one(and Momma) finished, Dano
Killy I feel the same about a clean shop. You would love my shop and be able to trust me a bunch! d;^) Pat
Don't hate me cause I keep my shop clean.
IT'S A SICKNESS :bigsmyl:
Wish i had that sickness.
Nice start, can't wait to see her finished.
Looks good Dano! I need to come over and watch you shoot it!
YOUR SHOP!!!! :scared:
Boy, I'm glad you set me straight on that, Dano. I thought that was your dining room. :help:
Gene
Oh man, I love those snakey osage bows. More pictures as you go, please!
Hi ya Gene, how are ya??
Patience Bob  :bigsmyl:
Now that has character!
Nice bow and nice shop. I love a clean shop. I think we have the same sickness. Can't stand to work in a mess.
I must be the most trustworthy bowyer on earth!
Beauty! Careful, it's gonna bitecha'
That looks amazing Dano. Truely awesome work. Can't wait to see it with skins!!
looks great dano./ but ya know what I think? I think ya need to spend some time in wisconsin. My shop needs you bad! :readit: :saywhat: <><
Sounds great Frank, how's air fair, and room and board sound? :bigsmyl:
I bet sometimes folks around you would be willing to take up a collection.
Killdeer~What are friends for? :D
That's funny now that you say that Kathy, My folks were always moving when I was away for the summer.
I put some left over canebreaks on and 6 coats of tru-oil. Tiller probably could have been better, the upper limb had a pretty good woop de doo, that kept the limb flat in that area.

Honestly, this has to be one of the neatest bows I have ever seen! Great job! What is the length, draw weight, etc?
:notworthy: I'm with Divinecedar on that one!!! I absolutely love it.. awesome length out of such a snakey stave. The shadow of the bow on the ground looks like its crawling at your feet!! Appreciate you sharing it with us. Hope you do another soon!!!- Greg
wow!!!! dano that is just stunning :clapper: :clapper:
Gorgeous!
Ray ;)
Great job again Dano!
Outstanding!
Dano, Thats a nice one. Those snakey bows are deadly works of art. Looks like you stocked up on Osage at Mojam!!!
I guess I need to quit doing all the "other" stuff in my life right now and get over and check out this new little snake Dano!
I gotta see you shoot it!
Come on over Ron!! I'll let you shoot it.
Be sure and bring that little baby to Ojam next year. I want to see it up close and person....Nice work Dano!....Terry
Hey Terry, thanks. What the heck have you been up to?
Hey Dano, Lisa said you one handsome man with that bow pulled back!
Mike
Now that's funny Mike, tell Lisa to get some glasses. She's one funny lady!! :biglaugh:
Killie, the clean shop is a maintenance guy thing. We gotta know where all of our tools are.
Dano, Must be hot out there. Your hair is short! :)
Hi ya Tom, it's starting to cool off out here, it's been under 100 for a few days now.
Great job Dano. I've got an osage stave begging me to start on her. That bow is pure inspiration!
Thanks Marty, I've got the mother stave almost finished, just gotta wait for the tru-oil to dry
As you know, ol' friend, my admiration for your skill and your bows is boundless - BUT your shop makes me sick over the disintergration of my own hard-earned military neatness, that once upon a time I was widely noted for. You really know how to hurt a guy!
I'll just have to put up with it, I guess - cause I love looking at your pics - and I don't envision a swing back the other way in my (now slovenly, cluttered) habits. :goldtooth:
I have always said "don't hate me cause my shop is so clean" it's a sickness I tell ya.
I used to be real good at IG inspections too :bigsmyl:
S-w-e-e-t bow Dano. Looks like you've come over to the darkside where a twisted, knarly, knotty snakey wood is a thing of beauty. :goldtooth:
Holy Cow, I know I have been out of touch here on the gang but I haven't seen anything out of Linc since the ride of the "2 Ton" Club.
That was the best wasn't it Lonnie. What a bunch of derilicks!!
Wow! Dano, that is an awesome bow. You did well. Jawge
Yah, but a nice bunch of derrilicts.LOL.
Skeeter, I've been on quite a bit since the Half Ton Tour. But not much over the last year though.I've been as busy as a flea on a hot griddle. None of which has been helping my back any. :(
Finally got the computer back so I can see the pictures. Nice bow Dano. That short and snakey osage can sure make an interesting bow... love the look of the skins too.
Thanks Paul, it was a fun bow.
Nice Dano...real nice!
Is Dano still around, always enjoyed his posts. Bue--.

Very good question.......and I agree, loved his posts and tips!
Was thinking the same thing a while back, Bue. Have not seen him post in years.
I haven't seen him at MoJam lately...missed the old coot... :) He was always one with early coffee...
Bob
Mercy snakes alive--How does it behave for you? :)
Hey ya all!! The rumor of my demise is greatly exaggerated!! Not much into building bows for a while, still shoot once and a while. I do miss all the friends I've made over the years tho. I have gotten into shooting and reloading more modern weapons out here.
Hey Dano! Been wonderin about you! :wavey:
Don't know Dano but those beauties need to be shot on a regular basis. Gorgeous bow.
Cory
Dano you old coot! How the hell have you been?
how in the heck do you guys find snake wood...
Hi Dan,
Nice to know you didn't die. I'm going on a rifle elk hunt with my son this year in Idaho. But I'll be using my bow. It might be hard to resist temptation if a bull offers himself to me on the last day at 100 yards though. I like shooting rifles too :)
Take care,
John
