Been working on this idea for awhile. The idea is a camp hatchet and a knife combo. i know it's done been done before but I always liked the idea. This hatchet is 1/4" thick thec head is 4.5" long and a cutting edge of 2.75" oal 11". She is not completely done yet still have a little finish work to do. No not taking the lines out of the blade I like them there. I believe the handle is ziricote. She does have some heft for being a smaller camp hatchet. The hatchet and knife will rest in a combo belt sheath. So what ya think?<>< (http://inlinethumb59.webshots.com/33978/2381097130051876912S500x500Q85.jpg) (http://outdoors.webshots.com/photo/2381097130051876912ssSgSw) (http://inlinethumb22.webshots.com/40789/2865943980051876912S500x500Q85.jpg) (http://outdoors.webshots.com/photo/2865943980051876912XSRwpG)

Very cool idea, Frank! That ziricote is some neat looking wood too. Overall, a head turner!
I wonder if the blade is best left softer for the beating it is sure to take?
