Took him with my Master Hunter, 56# @ 30" Win Ex Mediums, G5 Montec broadhead on the end of a 31" Gold Tip 55/75, with a total weight of 420 grains. 18 yard broadside shot, both lungs and the top of the heart, complete pass through, and a 60 yard recovery.
Just thought I'd share last weekends success with you all!
Best, Jeff.
Man thats a big pig congrats on a fine animal, any idea what he weighed
John
Cheryl said he was 8 or 9 years old and should normally be right in the 350# range. But, he was way run down from chasing sows and fighting, he had absolutely no fat what so ever on him! As is, he weighed 205 lbs and was well over 8 feet long from nose to end of hoof hanging there.
Congrats Jeff! With your draw, what's that 420gr doing...about 210fps?
I don't know for sure JC, haven't run it through a chrono. Plenty fast though! ;)
Jeff....
Nice Job on the Porker....

That's a great hog by anyone's standard...what a rip-snorter! And a nice set of hooks, too! Well done, Jeff!

Great pig Jeff, congratulations Buddy. Did I help you get that???????? Thanks, Jim
P.S. any pictures of those tusks I see hanging out of his mouth?? Your Friend, Jim
Goes to show ya that arrow weight is all relative, if ya have great shot placement and even without, I think ya would get great penetration with that combo. Nice Pig!! Shawn
Heck of a hog Jeff!! Way ta go!! I'da guessed him alot bigger.
Nice hog!!! Must have been a real adrenaline moment. That DAS sure put it down.
I can't totally tell by the picture, but do you have a sight on your bow? Not that it takes anything whatsoever away from the experience either way, I was just wondering.
Timberbound
Hot Dang Amighty!!!!!! Congrats Jeff!!!!!!
Check your email Sir!!!!!!!!
No sight, I'm not against them either, just don't happen to use them.
He does have a real nice set of tusks, literally this is the only picture I have of him right now. Another fella in camp took some nice digitals, but is having difficulty getting them shipped. Some kind of technical difficulty... I'll post some more when I get them.
Thanks again all!
-Jeff
