Mine was an Wing Archery Falcon 45#@28". I shot that bow for several years.
A Bear Red Bear a long, long, time ago.
Ben Pearson Model 403 Fiberglass Take Down Longbow. 45#@28
My first was a 45# old green fiberglass bow with a white handle. Not sure of the make but that was many moons ago!
My first real wood tradbow was a 58# LaClair Hunter longbow. :)
My first hunting bow was a Ben Pearson 55lb recurve! I had several toy and homemade bows before the Pearson
Bingham T/D 45@28. Had three sets of limbs for it 45,50,55.
Little Bear, can't remember the details.
My first bow of any kind (except for a little green fiberglass job I had when I was a kid) was a hickory selfbow I made in a class put on by the Primitive Bowhunters of Illinois. It was 66" NTN, and drew 64# @ 28. I only hunted with it for a year, but still have it.
my first trad experience was with a Martin Mamba 65@28 that Richard Mcmullin of haughton la had. I shot that bow til dark. lol I bought a Martin Hunter recurve shortly thereafter. got it at 55@28 and stacked like a booger at 27" but I drew 28. lol
Martin Hunter 1985
Bear Super Kodiak for a week (overbowed) then a Martin Dreamcatcher for a year or 2.

An old Bear that my Grandmother bought me in 1969 used it for shooting turles in the pond as a boy. Funny thing,, after all these years and many bows in between I am back to using a Fred Bear Takedown.

Cherry limb with braided tobbacco twine string...app.30#draw. River cane arrows w/ duct tape fletch and 16 penny nails taped on....many rabbits. That was along time ago. Later i got me a Bear Grizzly 56" 45# @28" killed my first buck with it using a old 160 gr. howard hill head.

My big sister gave me a pink fiberglass bow when I was 7. Draw weight was probably 10 - 12 #.
First real bow was a Pearson Predator in 1973 - 55#. Stupidly dropped out of archery for several decades, but got back in about 4 years ago. I still have the Pearson and it's been joined by a few others.
A Herter's recurve from my Parents, beautiful wood with the "Green Herter's Limbs" I remember it was 37# draw I really had lots of shooting time with that bow, my next Trad bow was about 35 years later a Leon Stewert Slammer, a definite step up in the World.
Earl Hoyt sold me a second fromhis shop in 1957 or 8. It was a all wood flat bow witha sliver of plastic arrow rest. I had a terrible string follow lemmon wood bow before that.
Kodiak Mag 50#@28". Bought it from my Dad, sold it to him when I went in the sevice and bought back 4 years later. That fall killed my first deer with it. Put in the bowfishing service years ago and gave it to my daughter who still uses it for bowfishing.
55 lb American Archery recurve in 1972
I had a couple of pawn shop specials when I was a kid in the 80's...one I am pretty sure was a Pearson 20# recurve that I would give alot to have back for my kids, it was nice, clean, straight shooting bow. Then I had a 35# recurve that I ended up destroying trying to make into a bowfishing rig. After that I saved up and bought a 58" and 45#@28" Bear Black Bear Hunter. That was the first new bow I ever bought. I still have it and as a matter of fact, just had Bowdoc re-finish it. I have some timber rattlers that need to go on and I plan to hunt with it some this fall.
Browninh Wasp 45#, Wish I still had it.
My first "real" trad bow was a Bear Grizzly, 35#@28". It would've been sometime in the early 70's. I lost it along with everything else when our house burned down in '75. I was in the 7th grade then.

I grew up shooting a non-descript, LH longbow right handed :) .....but "MY" first bow was a 70's Bear Kodiak Mag 45#@28....Right handed, of course!
1965 Herters Perfection Sambar Hunter 62" 45@28 Inherited it when I was 12. ;) Still fun to shoot, love those big rosewood risers !
Heres my 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th...the first was a York green glass bow. I got it for Easter when I was about 6 (I think 6). Not something I would advocate today, but the first arrow I ever shot out of it centered a robin in our back yard, which proceeded to flop and die in the middle of our Easter party taking place at the time..

Stacked like hell but I thought I really had sumpthin, never liked short bows since.

First "real" trad bow was an American Archery Cheetah special hunter, 45# that I got from a yard sale for basically nothing. I don't know how many people have been introduces to recurves or bow fishing with that bow since then.

Well my very first one was a 45# yellow all fiberglass recurve.I guess that was around forty years ago.

Started with a kid's wooden long bow, probably about 8 lb draw, wooden arrows with painted tips. I'm guessing around age 8. A few of those, then a brown fiberglass Indian at maybe 20-30 lbs. Went into the Marines while my little brother(s) lost that one. My wife bought me a Shakespeare Super Necedah in 1971 which I still shoot. Never had a bow that wasn't trad.
When I was young I shot my dads Bear recurve(not sure which one it was) It stacked and had a lot of hand shock. bought a Robertson Montana Falcon used in 1990, still have it.
Widow MAV - Ironwood - Yeah, I got lucky. My pops bought it for me and I sold it a few years later. I really regret that now, it was such a sweet bow.
