This may get REAL interesting. Lam"O" left yesterday to go to Shaun's to start the Journey to Idaho to hunt Bruins with Ted. Their intention was to get here Wednesday late afternoon.
It seems that they decided that rather than sit up and visit until 2:00 am they would just do the visitin while drivin.
At 6:30 my time Lam"O" called to say that they were in WY. :scared: :scared: they would be here around 2:00 PM. I thought that's great wanting to see me so they pushed it. :banghead: all they wanted to know was about ST. Jude's GO FIGURE.
Better go break this news to the Bride, Curtis is due in Thursday or Friday. Should be a good story unfolding.
Thanks for the tip Vance. Keep them busy. LOL
Just finished puttin the no-snow on all my fletchings. Everything is sitting patiently by the back door. Gotta go clean up the truck and get the back seat ready for a few campouts on my way north. Good thing I'm a small guy and the back seat of my F-250 is so big. Like a mbl Econo Inn. :D
Gotta stop off and get a 12 volt coffee maker. I should be in Roswell, Nm by nightfall tomorrow night. I'm leaving South Texas in the early AM. See you guys in a few days! CK
Careful in Roswell CK...Walt and I got ABDUCTED there for a couple hrs. :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
Pilot to Co-Pilot ERROR
Vance - Best get that dry sausage order in with CK before he leaves, you know how he is about sharing groceries! Elk sure is scarce round these parts!!!! POP
Hope JC is REALLY BUSY....Say Curtis any chance of Dry Sausage :clapper: :goldtooth: I do have yer addresss.
I thought about javi salad last night but I just don't have time to bbq.
I'll check the dry sausage cashe and see what I have. CK
Did somebody say dry sausage? :goldtooth:
What we need is a smily face like this :bigsmyl:
Curtis,
You do realize, don't you, that the temperature is below 85 degrees where you're heading? Hope you have your snow suit packed!!!
Trucks idling in the drive and the artic-wear is packed. I'm outta hereat 7:00am on a fast track northwest. :wavey: Keep a bind on things round here. CK
Heck CK, you should be able to drive straight through, yer a youngun, I used to drive from Jacksonville, Fl all the way to San Angelo,TX in one sitting back in the day, cannot be much further to Wyoming. LOL. Stay Safe!
Danny
Well I have care and custody of Lam"O" and Mr. Shaun. They went to roost around 7:00ish ( wonder why) Don't think well see much of them fer a bit. Is
CK on the road yet?? ;)
He He it's 19 degs. here at the moment, the only movement is from UNDER the covers, lots and lots of shivers.
Think I'll post a "Curtis Cycle" in St. Jude's, course we may not get him outta his truck :biglaugh:
Get them up and tell them it's tomorrow and time to stock some fish! ROTFL

He should have put the recipe up for bid on the St. Judes auction. :D
Or some sausage. This group can never get enough protein.
Oh man, I made it into the cooooooold country just fine. I knew I was driving very carefully through the mountains in Colorado when a School Bus passed me and all the kids on board were looking at me like I was driving like an old person. :readit: Alrighty then, I'm off to meet with the arcic cold and a few more ground squirrels. CK
Good luck guys, sounds like the fun has started already.......
Received this picture from Curtis taken on Vance's place in Wyoming.
I'm not sure about that white stuff on the tops of those mountains, or the insulated vest and long sleeve shirt CK is wearing, but it sure doesn't look like south Texas weather to me . . . Brrrrrr!!
In case you don't know all of this illustrious group of fence sitting dignitaries; we have from left to right:
Charlie (Storytime) Lamb
Curtis (CK or Littlefeather) Kellar (dressed sensibly)
Vance (Fulla/Iron Bull) Brewer
Shawn (Shawn) Webb
(http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b158/gkellar/MightyArchers.jpg)
Great picture ...thanx for sharing Mr. Kellar
Shaun on Iron Bull's puter; Vance has been treating us just fine! Ribs on the smoker last night, pork loin tonight, with all the fixin's. Ground squerrel hunt got real serious this afternoon. Vance and I stubled around and scared the heck out of em, Charlie waylayed a bunch and Curtis started cold then caught fire. CK was over a dozen when we drug him outa the pasture. Our mission to visit Mr Iron Bull and tune up our shooting for bears accomplished, we are off to Idaho in the morning. Home with pictures and tall tales on the 12th. If the bears are bigger than ground squerrels they are in trouble.
Shaun
Good luck!
They have resumed their trek westward..Departed here around 6:30, with Lam"O" drivin CKs rig :bigsmyl:
At this point Curtis has abandoned his bags. He's wearin ALL his CLOTHES and is wrapped up in his ARTIC MUMMY BAG :biglaugh: I might add that his body profile has increased since bein here.
Keep us posted as best you can Vance"Iron Bull" and I will as well!!! I am so excited for the guys, and I hope they all get a Beastie Bear!!
Any update?
Danny
Danny....last word I have is from a restaurant as they were waiting to get picked up for camp.
They had made it that far.
I have some photos from there DESERT Grizzly hunt here, I'll get ready, now that I can rest easier over my FORTUNES from St. Jude. Lots of time waiting for the check to get to Doug and the shipments to start arriving.
They doing the guide thing or going the hard way on public?
Uh, Curtis....are your partners wearing pillows around their waist for protection against bear maulins. Hee heee?
Sorry guys....sometimes I just can't resist. Best Wishes and be safe. :bigsmyl:
Steven....They are hunting with Ted Fry a Gang Sponsor. So I guess that you would say it is a Guided hunt in Western Idaho Mtns.

Just received a check in call. Everyone is on the trail to their computers with LOTS of cool stuff to convey. There was some blood let, Great food partaken and a ton of great fellowship. I would say that around Tuesday some stories should start appearin.
Vance, I was certainly glad to hear Charlies Happy Voice!! Sounds like the guys are going to have some great stories to share. Way to Go Curtis!! :campfire: :clapper:
Yep , were back stories should be flowing as soon as all get home and unpacked. Charlies happy voice is fine , just dont let him put on the Barry White voice.
