Tom Musatto and I are trying to post this clip on the member videos and until we can get together on formatting, he suggested I post the link here for you guys to view.
I shot a black bear in Canada a few weeks back @ Wollaston Lake Lodge were we fished during the day and bear hunted the evenings. Jill was with me and did the video.....we had two guides along to trail as they were fascinated with the longbow. Besides, bears in this area are known to be on the aggressive side....see what you guys think.

Oh yeah....we did find the bear..

Shazam! I knew there was something bad wrong with chocolate. I just about died from a chocolate bunny a few Easters ago. That's a whole nuther story though. Looks like you knocked the chocolate right out of that one. Wish I wasn't on dial-up. I'd love to watch the way you handle your chocolate! :D CK
ps. Tom is great with formatting video but sound seems to come out kinda pleepy.
Biggie are you losing weight ? Your face looks thinner
friggin cool! good job on the bear and very colorful comentary on the vid clip, lol.
Neat - he wasn't a whole lot worried about you guys, was he? LOL.
This is a great video. After seeing this it kinda' makes you wonder why some folks would rather spend time golfing than go to the woods and enjoy this kind of experience.
Curtis, won't be bleeping any of this. Loved it. :)
Did anybody else notice that when the bear was really close the camera person was IN FRONT of the hunter? :bigsmyl:
Its a good thing Biggie was there or he may have eaten the other folks. He didnt want to tackle Biggie though...LOL :readit:
That was great video footage!
great footage/////////////// wow!!!!!!!! :scared: :scared: :scared:
Are shotguns and slugs "Traditional" back-up weapons????? (LOL) I wouldn't want much less!!!!!
Congratulations on your bear Biggie!!!!! Nice video footage Jill!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!!
Nice video!
I bet the bear acted that way 'cause he had never seen anyone as large as Biggie before! He just had to come close to make sure he wasn't seeing things ... :bigsmyl:
Congrats Biggie!! And 2   for the brave camera lady :notworthy: :notworthy:
That was a real pretty bear
Very nice Biggie and I agree with Guru the camera lady did a great job.
I dunno guys,I was trying to make myself small and quiet.....
Oh yeah...made the ceremonial 1st cut with a Doug Campbell birdknife, then opened a cold diet coke and sat back and let the guides do the skinnin' Life is good!

Biggie,
Was that boar as close as it looked in the video? I had a sow do that while running baits one time. Makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck.
Mike
That's a great clip Biggie......and congrats!!!
I bet he was pretty close Mike, video usually makes things look further away :scared:
I got to get me a knife from Doug one of these days!
Awesome video and great bear, Biggie  Glad you got the best of him rather than him getting the best of you!
Claudia
I'll bet he was smellin the donuts in your pocket!! Tell the truth-you had some didn't you? I know, I've seen ya do it.
Great Job...Big Man!

Well, good. Biggie, mabe now you will change your avatar so we don't have to avert our eyes when you post.
I've had bears do that before, and it makes you pretty wired.
He was less than 10 yards a few times there. Close enough that even Marty coulda hit him with an arrow somewhere.
Honestly, once the guide jacked a shell into the shotgun and clicked off the safety, I knew we were in no real danger but still, it will make you a bit nervous.......I just hoped he wouldn't have to shoot the bear. Woulda been a big waste of a beautiful critter.
Biggie, nice Bear, congratulations. That's a very pretty knife too love damascus. Frank
Nice one, Large Person. How far did you make Jill pack it out?
congrats on the bear, I'll have to take a look at the vid on the home computer. I also have to agree with marty on the donuts or maybe a hamsamich.
Hey biggie, was mike there and did ya catch any of those 50+ inch northerns?
:notworthy: :notworthy:
Kevin, JIll wasn't able to pack it out, she had to carry all the camera gear, my stand, my bow and fanny pack. Luckily the guide was along or she would have had to make two trips and I was tired and wanted to get back to camp...
Brian, Mike and Judy took a day off and did a fly out with us. Great fishing there but no 50" the 1st week. We did catch 40-60 fish a day though :-)

That was excellent indeed.
Biggie,
Not sure but I think you could've taken him.
Man that was spooky. What was up with that bear? Sure acted strange :scared: ....Van
Biggie, any chance the bear you shot was a sow??(in heat ??) We have had a couple bears act like that and both time they were boars trying to get to the sows we had just harvested . Sure does make the hairs straighten out and stand up!! ( ALL HAIRS !!!). Bill
Bill wins the prize!
We actually have footage of him mounting my bear a few days before.
I wasn't gonna shoot the sow but her head looked HUGE and I couldn't help it....
Green score is 18&7/8" I coulda swore she was 20.....
Thanks Biggie and Jill, that was a great clip!! Hey Biggie, nothing wrong with 18&7/8!!!!!! How big do you guess that chocolate boar was?? Thanks again, Jim
While the boar was a beautiful color phase, I don't think he was as big headed as the sow. But as far off as I was on the sow, I'm afraid to guess :-)
But I will anyway.....17"
