Just checked phone messages. Terry called to say he'd taken a Doe to start his annual Texas hunt off right. Message said he made a hole in her heart at 18 yards. Zwicky 4 blade made for less than a 20 yard blood trail. Kevin Smith will be meeting up with Terry tomorrow to share in some of the comaradre. Looks like there may be a story to hear when he gets back. Congrats Terry. CK

Congrats Tarz  Can't wait to hear the story.
1st deer I've shot with a Zwickey Eskimo 4 blade. I usually use Delta 4 blades, but it was very windy so I opted for a little narrower head, and plus there were lots of big hogs around. The Eskimo came through as usual.

Great shooting T! Glad you made the trip safe and sound. CK
Nice job Terry. Were you at Solana Ranch? Jeff and I couldn't make the hunt this year but will definately go back in the future. Worth the trip just to laugh at Dave Shepard.
Congrats on the deer!
You've got to love it when they all but surrender at the meat pole.
I shore like the shot placement....goes to show ya, even snap shooters like us can get lucky ever once in a while :bigsmyl:

Nice job Terry. Looks like your hit was about 3/4" of an inch off but other than that...very nice. :)
Hope you had that camcorder running for much of the hunt.

Terry
Looks great to me!!
Tom ? :)
Bob
Ok, you was 1/4" off rather than 3/4". 1/4" to the right would have been perfect.
You should know better by now than to "Tom,....can ya help me out a little?"
I have to aim for the nose to make a heart shot. :)
Nice shootin there Tarz
Looks like the boiler room T! Congrats!
Terry
Nice shot there buddy!!
Congrats Terry! I've had two shots so far this year and took one shot. That was at the biggest buck I've ever seen that wasn't in a magazine or on television. Didn't even know we had them that big around here. I shot a couple inches high and he showed me why he was so big. Jumped the string and the arrow sailed harmlessly over his back. Probably better off. I thought I was going to have a heart attack just seeing something that big. If I'd killed him I know I would have...after messing up my pants. Had a shot at a small doe later and thought a larger doe might be with her so I passed. Should have shot her. Oh well, shouldda...coulda. Hope everybody's having a great season. Haven't been on here in a while. Hellow again to all.
Looks perfect to me Tarz! :bigsmyl: :notworthy:
Nice bud!!
