Took a while. Been too busy getting back to work.
this is the 4x4 I killed in WY. Small by their standards but making a perfect shot was more important on this trip. I passed on a whopper the very first day...shoulda shot, duh!
There were about 6 camera men plus Bill Jordan and some industry folks there. Bill and the Real Tree guys were real profesional, they were fascinated by the longbow and gave lots of encouragement while still having some raised eyebrows. They called me Fred Bear a time or two (I hate that) or william Tell. You know how that is. But also they were real glad to see I got a buck and asked lots of questions. Next year I hope to get one big enough to make them get the camera out.
My buddy was next to be filmed while hunting that week, but he killed a buck too soon! My other buddy killed a 130" 4x5 the first morn and guided Bill all week, Bill passed up too many. The Real Tree crew only got one buck and he is not big enough to make a TV show. They are going back next week to try again.
I had a blast and could have killed 10-15 bucks and maybe 100 does. I never hunted conditions like that.More pics to come.

Wild Bill Jordan checking out my buddy's buck
Nice shooting!!!!! Way to go.

This is what happens to something that runs my deer off! That was a thrill.
My buddy Paul, the buck he got same eve as I did. A dandy!
Note: Paul wears Mossy oak just to irritate Bill.
He killed the buck with a new Mathews Compund and made a hell of a shot at long range after passing him on the same shot previously

I guess he thought if he pulled it out he would be ok? He never got it pulled out. He only had 3-4 seconds max after the shot.

Did he just come trotting by too close or did you call him in? I really enjoy calling and hunting varmints. I don't think most people understand how hard it is to take a yote with a bow. They make a whitetail look like a retard. Great pictures!
WOW, love the photo on the yote. Nice bucks also.
Phil
Tedd.....NICE SHOOTING  on both buck and cyote.
Great scenery, who is the outfitter ?
Is it a morrison your toting there ?
Jacob
Mike, your right, hey are real survivor! He spooked some deer off then was leaving. I squealed on my hand and he came back for a look standing directly under me for about 2 min. Then he broke out into a run when something seemd wrong. He got about 15 yards out when the Magnus left the life out of him. Never hit anything on the run before.
A short time later a bigger one slipped by with no shot opportunity.
This doe came by a few min after killing the couote. She was super nervous.

Typing too fast this morn!
Good shooting Tedd, looks like two perfectly placed arrows.
Tell Ol' Bill J. he needs to put the XTra brown pattern back on the market!!
What was your setup? Bow, arrow, broadheads used, and what-not?
Morrison Cougar 62" NTN
54lb#29" drawn to 30"
Lost Nation Lodge Pole Pine arrow with 125 gr Magnus.
Were hoping Wadell comes for bow season next year. He was there in the past and killed a whopper.
The place? Ever see that video where Bill Jordan misses a godawful huge whiteail with about 200" of horn called "Stickers"?
Tedd
Those are great pics. Thanks for sharing.
Does Bill were makeup while hunting or does he just put it on before filming? I was just wondering what sort of maskera a serious hunter should use, Revlon or Mary Kay?
I think that yote with him chewin on the arra would make a very unique mount.
Nice buck, sounds like a LOT of deer seen. Where were you?
Me too JC it was only $1000 bucks! A little to steep for me.
Bear, lets just say he ages well.
Tedd
Congrats on the great hunt. Great pics too.
Great pics, great story and great hunt. I too love that pic of the coyote with the arrow in his mouth.
David
Great shooting! Thanks for the pics!
Nice bucks, glad you had such a good time.

Now that's a cool pic!!
J,
He is called 7J outfitters. I felt lucky to be asked to go along. So I don't wanna jinx it. They can't handle anything more when the movie guys are there. But I do think he might have openings later in the season and hunting improves later on also. His prices are getting high because of what he pays for leases. Most of the ranchers love him cause he pays them well.
E-mail me if you want more info.
First, CONGRATULATIONS on an obvious sucessful hunt and great adventure.
Secondly, thanks for sharing it.
Looking at the pics and reading about the adventure makes an old man wanna go West. ;)
Enjoyed the read.
You want more pics?
Absolutely.

These two hogs were at 30 yds at one point. On the last day while glassing for whitetails these walked out. Gawd, can you imaging runnin an arrow through that big one! He must go 275 lbs.

I love this one
Hey Tedd, I like campsite pics too. :bigsmyl:
I like to see where the fellershippin took place too.
Any more animal pix is greatly appreciated.
I'd like to have just one shot on a muley like the one on the left. Just one. :D
I love pic's of whitetails with a tradbow in the pic. Come to think of it, same goes for hogs, rabbits, or whatever. Conjures up all kinds of good emotions.
Thats not a campsite! It's where a rancher burned a slash pile during the snowy season. The bigger mule deer was laying right in the middle of the burned area. He jumped up and turned back.
Tedd
Awesome pics! Sounds like a Hell of a hunt! Where was this in Wy?
That is some bright red blood!!!
Congrats Tedd. Looks like you had a heck of a hunt.
Looks like you did too Chad!
Aint it fun?
Tedd
Oh, I didn't mean THAT was the campsite. I meant I like seeing the pics from around the cabin, ranch house, or tent (whathaveya). Providing it's complimentary to the hunt. Ya know like friends horsin around, target shooting, eating BBQ, sharpening broadheads, etc.
Razor, You know how lung blood is supposed to be frothey? Well this was like pink foam. The blood pulsed out the entrance hole with each heart beat as he ran past. He was not hit in the heart. He was down really quick. The Magnus was super sharp. The last 5 inches of arrow are still in the buck, the cedar is sticking out the hole. I pulled the fletched end out prior to gutting him.
Tedd
Great job Tedd, nice animals!!
GREAT DEER TEDD!!! Way to go!! I knew you'd do us proud there. Glad you had a good time and were successful in getting your beautiful deer. Even better to me is the velvet on the horns. I like that!!! That yote was icing on the cake. He went out well and knew it, even posing for the shot one more time by the camera. Congrats!!!
Tedd,
It looks like you put some awsome shots on those animals. Don't you have Molly the super dog? I don't think you need her. I'll give her a good home.
Molly was at home in PA and she was glad to see me but she sure let me know that she was not too happy about being left home. Dang dog.
And yes, I do need help on some shots!
Tedd
Sounds like you guys had a great time. Good shooting and great pics!!!! Congrats.
Thanks Tedd. I live for this time of year. Seems like i just ain't a whole person when i can't hunt. Congrats again.

It was hot most times. Some guys wore shorts.
Thats Bill Jordan in the back row 2nd from left. I'm in the midle row. The rest are my 2 buddies and the movie crew

Scouting for the big ones
That's awsome Tedd.Good shooting.
Great shooting and nice yote and buck Ted! A few years back I hunted Iowa and Steve Stoltz was in the motel room next to mine and I met Will Primos in a diner. If you work on Jordan and I work on these two, we could have some great traditional hunting shows on tv! 8~)
Heck the only book my deer ever qualify for is Betty Crocker.
Congrats on a highly successful hunt. Tred Barta had a show on TV last night about taking coyotes with a longbow and wood arrows. You need to send him a picture of yours. He did not get his.
Tedd, Real nice buck & coyote...looks like you didn't need Molly to track! Good shooting...Jeff
You guys are right, more folks have commented on the coyote than the deer. I wish now that I would have tried harder to get his buddy, a big redish colored one that suprised me, they sneak so quietly through the grass. Also I wish I would have got it mounted.
Thanks for the compliments.
Next year I'll take better pictures. I was just kind of walkin around with my mount hangin open this time.
