Title: Elk Pics in Ky @ LBL

Hope its ok to post these pics here..
I got to see the Elk at Land between the Lakes a few weeks ago..Awesome to see and hear
Also got to hear some bugling.
Well worth the 3 1/2 hr drive...

Very nice. I got a place about 20 miles west of Somerset. How far is that from there?

Gurn, sounds like your in the Russell County area. I'm about 30-40 minutes west of your place in Green County. We are at least 3 1/2 hours away from Land Between The Lakes which are in western Ky between Lake Barkley and Ky Lake.
I've observed the elk in eastern Ky but have never had the chance to see the herd at LBL but they look impressive from the great photos.

Did you see any of the buffalo? There looked to be a good herd while we were up there hunting a few weeks ago....(on TN side)

We saw several buffalo.. Seeing the elk was awesome.
 I also had my video camera and got some great video of some sparring,rubbing,bugling.

It's about 3.5 hr trip for me..Just guessing from sommerset 4.5 +..I have more pics if I can find my disc...I'll post a few more...
