They say you can't have too many tools but sometimes "they" are wrong. I have 3 toothing planes. This one is used but the blade is razor sharp. You can't find this kind of craftsmanship today. All joints are absolutely perfect, front and back. Blade is easily exchanged or adjusted. The curved grip is a pleasure to use. If you need a tool to flatten bamboo for a backing this is it. This is the same model plane you seen in Dean Torges DVD "Hunting the Bamboo Backed Bow"

Forgot to put the price, sorry bout that. Just the blade is $64 at 3 Rivers. I'm going to ask $85 for the plane and blade.
