Mike was my best friend's little brother. Although he isn't so little any more, he was like a wood tick growing up and was always following us around.
He is a veteran marine and a young age of about 28.
He bought his first house a few months back and was looking forward to renovating it for himself.
While working on his new home, he became short of breathe and went to the neighbors for help.
By the time the neighbor came to the door he was on the ground gasping for air. the neighbor called 911 and by the time the paramedics came he was unconscious and the neighbor was doing CPR.
His heart had stopped and even though he was only a few short minutes from the hospital it may not have been enough. They deemed it an asthma attack even though he had no history.
He is in a medically induced Coma. This morning his lung collapsed and his brain has swollen and changed colors. The family has been told to prepare for the worst.
It seems like yesterday when he would come to my tree stand because he was bored. I would climb down and we would sit at the base of my tree until dark. One time we had a 6 point walk up to us and he couldn't see it till it nearly ran us over.
Please keep Mike and his family in your prayers.
God Bless.

That's a tough one for sure...wonder if he got a spider bite or bee sting?
Bizarre reaction. Being a life long allergy patient, I've had some bizarre experiences, but that one is so sad...cut down in his prime that way
!
Prayers for God's will and that will to be for restoration for your young friend!

Thanks Guys. Prayers are no longer needed for Michael's recovery. They are currently harvesting his organs.
Please pray for his family and the life he is giving. Thank you for your prayers.
Sorry to hear that. GOD bless him and watch over his family
Prayers for comfort and strength for all who cared for Mike.
Sad to read. Gracious gift of life from a dedicated young man to share his organs so others may live.
Echo of GB's prayers for peace that passes all understanding for the family and friends...and that perhaps, According to His will, they may YET find out the cause to bring closure.
Lord in your Mercy...
I just read this and my sincere prayers for the family and I want to take a moment to say Thank you Mike for your service to our Country!
I am so sorry his life ended so suddenly and at a young age without an understanding as to what caused the sudden attack?
I'll keep his family in my prayers for peace and comfort...God Bless,
