Title: Family member needs prayer PRAISE REPORT
Post by: BenBow on February 22, 2013, 04:15:00 PM
Got this from my wife.
"FWD: Quick update. Sue is stable in an induced coma. She apparently had a massive heart attack, but the doctors haven't been able isolate a cause yet. Her heart is working at 50%.  They don't yet know how much of the damage is permanent, but will have a pretty good feel by tomorrow. She is still not breathing on her own. That's all we know. Please keep praying. "

Oye...memory isn't good enough to remember names of whom you posted some time back in the family...

Prayers for His will and patience and strength in faith for all concerned!

That's pretty scary story for a relatively young woman to have such an episode!

Gracious! Indeed, prayers continue.  And for you as well, Galen!

The latest we've heard is that Sue is in and induced coma and not breathing on her own. There apparently has been a lot of internal bleeding and the Drs can't figure out where it's coming from or what happened for sure. They hesitate to move forward until they know what happened and is going on.
Thank you for the prayers

We heard that they are letting Sue come out of the coma. She squeezed the hand of the nurse and wiggled her toes when they asked her to. She is still unconscious and unable to breath on her own but the Drs are happy that her brain appears to be in the process of taking control. They found she has brain waves though they are unorganized at this time. All of this is good news. Thanks prayer warriors!

Progress then, none-the-less.

Prayers continue, Galen, for rapid improvements and a sense of what happened so it can be corrected!

PRAISE GOD!!! Thank you prayer warriors.  Here's yesterday's part of the miracle.
"FWD: Sue update:  this morning Sue opened her eyes briefly. Her sister got close to her face and asked her if she knew who she was. Sue nodded yes, but then closed her eyes again. She was still not breathing on her own. The next text we got was about 3pm this afternoon. Sue was sitting up and talking!  Talk about a miracle!  She still needs to go under a bunch of tests to assess the extent of any heart and brain damage, but this was an amazing breakthrough!  Thanks for all your prayers. God is good!"

Sue continues to improve and is now up and walking. The Drs still don't know what all happened which amazes and concerns me. But at least Sue is improving. Thanks prayer warriors!

More great news Sue went home. They put a defibrillator in her heart. They still can't figure out what happened. Sue has some heart damage and short term memory loss but is doing amazingly well. Thanks for your prayers prayer warriors!

Here is some amazing update news on Sue!
"She is doing well. Talked with her yesterday. She only had one therapy session and passed with flying colors. Not one of the Drs. Have any answers. They have no idea why this happened. She has regained all of her heart function back. The Drs. Are baffled. Prayer is awesome.
She went from a 5% chance of living and of that 5% she would have brain damage. To 100% healthy. The Drs. Have no words. Crazy.
Sue worked at the convent. When all the nuns heard what happened to her. All 200 of them went to the chapel and got on their knees. I wish I would have been there. God is great!! "
This IS the real reason Sue is healed. Thanks prayer warriors!

Wow, Galen...that is totally amazing!

I guess we should NOT be surprised when God does choose to heal... I guess we rely too heavily on those doctors in our lives eh?

Praises to the Great Physician for her healing and restoration to full health!

Such a weird occurrence to have set in on her for no apparent reason, but the end result may simply be to teach us about Faith!

Can't beat 200 nuns praying for you at once even with us chiming in... very touching!
