Sgt. Kelly was a conservation officer in the area where I grew up. Later on in my life I was able to work with Sgt. Kelly on a few occasions. He was a good Indiana Conservation Officer and a good person.
Sergeant Kelley died April 17,1998 from injuries he received while saving other officers from possible drowning who had been involved in a training exercise and had been thrown into swift moving water in the White River at William's Dam in Lawrence County Indiana. Karl worked as a Indiana Conservation Officer and had 28 yrs. of service.
Please keep his family in your prayers.
Karl you are very missed.
