Mr. Young suffered a very bad blood clot in his leg and has been pulled from the woods for the season. He probably won't ask, so I will for him. Prayers for a quick recovery please.

Prayers for Ted's healing and return to full health. May he know God's peace during this idle time.
May the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwell in Ted, permeating His Life through Ted's veins, sending healing through-out his body, in Jesus name we pray!(Rom. 8:11)
I'm so sorry to hear this about Ted, I had not realized. May the good lord ease his pain and speed a recovery for him.

Thanks guys. As I set here with my leg elevated to stop the swelling I mourn the passing of yet another missed rut in Ohio. Ten years ago I had a complete hip replacemnet and yes it was in October. While I set and cry in my beer I rejoice in knowing others care. I also rejoice in the grace of a loving God who kept me from a worse fate that I could have suffered with a blood clot. Doc says blood thinner "seems" to be working but, yes there is always a but you know. I sure am getting tires of getting stuck EVERY DAY to test the Cumadin (sp)!!!!!!! It is getting to a point that it takes four sticks to find a vane. I asked the nurse today after three sticks if she could hear them screaming! Thank you all again. All things are possible through God!
prayers for Mr. Ted...Marco#78
Coumadin can be a bear to get settled. Mom was on it for 45 years! Dad's been on it for the past 4! Things you eat and stuff what's eatin at you can make it jump around.
Thankfully, as we come on this day of reflection and thanksgiving, you have a good sense of what God has done for you and show your Gratitude to a loving Savior! With that, missing a rut while important and we lament with you that loss, the gain is greater for without God, we're nothing. With God, we're everything we need to be.
Prayers for peace and healing to get you back up and around.
Keep the Son in your eyes!
Praying for your speedy recovery from a fellow Buckeye
Ted
Hope your feeling better. Prayers for your comfort and recovery from over around Amanda way.
One of these days I need to get over your way so you can remember who I am.
continued prayers for your healing!
Ted you old bird, glad to see you are on the mend. Hope to see you at GORH. I might not be hunting cause my shoulder might not allow me to shoot so we can shoot the bull.
Prayers for a speedy recovery. I know first hand what a pain those tests can be. Was getting stuck every day for awhile myself. Just received a kidney/pancreas transplant. No longer on dialysis or dibetic. Praise the lord. Still on the mend myself. Best of luck to you. ~Rick Berry
Rick got you covered too.
Guys thank you for all the caring. Finally got the medicine settled and now "only" have to get stuck every other Friday. I'm going to get even with Dr. Gillen some how! :D He thinks the clot has been absorbed by this ole body. He says I can do all the things I was doing, EXCEPT go to the woods with sharp stick. Told him I would be careful but, there is always a but you know, NO WAY. In a way I can understand. I was on the floor playing with my little dog and she hooked me on the hand with a toe nail, only took a couple of hours to get the bleeding stopped. I CRINGE to think what would happen with a sharp broadhead. I did accept an invitation from some friends to shoot Claylick Bowhunters course this last Sunday. Boy was I one tired cookie when we got done. It sure was great to get back into the woods. I'm holding out some hope to maybe getting back to a late hunt. I will be on Coumadin for at least five more months so I don't hold much hope. Thanks again for the prayers. May your quiver always be full. Keep your face into the wind and the rerward will find you some day. Gods blessing on us all!
Cob,
Coudmadin is noting to mess with, but neither is anything to be feared. There are ways to take precautions... not go so deep into the woods...carry Vit K crushed up to pour in wound and bind tightly...take some by mouth ASAP... and pressure bandage materials at hand ALWAYS! :)
Mom was on it from 1966 till she passed March 05'. Dad's been on it for several years now. Depends on how "high" they carry you how much danger bruising can become.
Just learn, read, ask and then heed! Glad to hear you're back on the mend. There are LOTS of things that affect us today besides health, as I'm learning, to keep us out of the woods for a time.
Be well and be smart! :)
