Title: Bear Metric Magnums
Post by: Jon Stewart on May 25, 2014, 07:35:00 AM
Son picked up a dozen Bear Magnum arrows that are 8.6 MM.  They are all brown with the Bear and the word bear on them.  The arrows also looks to have the crest lines anodized onto the shaft.

Any info and value would be appreciated.  These are in new condition but cut on the short side (26" long).
Thanks

Sounds similar to the few I have left. I bought up what was left at a Kmart in very late 70's. Mine had vanes on them and red crest like you describe.
Some years ago I read these shafts were made for Bear using x-7 shafting. Most of mine are scattered around CA, Az, and Wi.

I have picked some up over the years and used them with my 50# recurve for hunting. As far as value goes - being short will definately keep the price down. Maybe someone with a youngster could use them.

The 8.4mm is 2114, 8.5mm are 2117, 8.6mm are 2216 and the 8.7mm were 2219, all x7 and are great shafts.

Good arrows.I can't help with a value. The plastic inserts weren't too impressive though. My favorites were the Bear Magnums, prior to the Metrics.
