Title: Bear Kodiak II?
Post by: TCBowhunter on January 24, 2014, 08:28:00 AM
I was given a Bear Kodiak II by the original owner (co-worker) and I believe it is an early 1954 due to the dark handle. It has the dual shelf and compass in the handle. Does this sound right? It's 60"-46# No.AC362

I will try and post pictures later for those who might be interested.

Yes, sounds like a walnut handle version.

I feel for your co-worker must be around 80 years old and still working.

He is very close to retirement. He is a very noted bird hunter and auther so he doesn't have it too bad. He travels alot bird hunting all over the country so I don't feel to sorry for him. He is a great guy and his sons are following in his footsteps. He gave me the bow because he knows my love for archery and his boys are upland hunters.

Yep, that sounds right.  I picked one up in an antiques store for $20 about 4 years ago.  I made a nice profit from it!
