Is 1973 the year Bear Archery started to put "Fascor" decals/silkscreens on the bows????

Good question.

I seem to remember someone posting a '69 SK with Fascor limbs with another saying they were out in '68.  I believe all I have seen were Bear bows of the early 70's.

Regardless, I could never tell any difference in how they shoot with non-Fascor.

Well here's what I come up with Blackhawk. My CD catalog says Fascor came out in 1969 and archeryhistory.com says in 1973 the "Super" bows were Victor w/Fascor,,,,,brown or black futurewood handles with the red accent stripe and red tips,,,Interesting stuff!!! I was waitng on a supermag today and was looking thru the catalog trying to figure out what year it was and noticed the fascor. Mine new baby is a 1970 and in great condition,,,,Always worried when buying bows from the big auction sight!

Good luck with the Super.  I understand many bows in 1968 came with Fascor but the decals did not appear until later.  The limb edges of Fascor will have a dull slate gray color...I think...   :dunno:

Just another gimmick from Mr. Bear to sell more bows...what a genius!
