The earliest published account by Eicholtz or on Eicholtz I have is May, 1945.
I'd be interested in any account prior to that date.
I've not read all the material I have on him lately but cannot find a statement by him claiming to be first to put fiberglass backing on a bow, though I've read numerous claims by others. If anyone has a published account of Eicholtz making that claim I'd appreciate the source.
I do have a claim by him taking credit for plastic facings on bows.
I'd be interested in any source on fiberglass facings prior to 1952.
Cliff, I'm sure you've picked the brain of your ole buddy Fred Anderson. Fred writes of him in his book and I've heard him discuss Eicholtz a lot.
BTW, I love your passion for gathering "just the facts".
Google: Frank Eicholtz. He was the first to put fiberglass on a bow for Howard Hill. He had a number of inventions, including fiberglass arrows. Also, try a search on this site. His name has been around.
