NOT REALLY.....but only cause I'm married now,.... she is prettier than a whole bunch of gals I have dated in the past.
58" long....tiny tips, serial# R 1844....anyone know what year it was built?
Thanks, Billy
Tiny tips tell me around '63 or '64 but I am not your red wing expert. The man was Bob Gosdick...Rest his soul.
The guy I bought the bow from said Lamont Granger had looked at the bow and said it was late 50's to early 60's....just hoping someone could pin it down a little closer.
Thanks Jack
Billy
Billy, what wood was used? I was just informed that my supposed 58 or 59 was a 60 or 61 and the serial #R-1184.
Also have 2 others, both Rosewood,
serial #'s R-5320 and R-7831.
I was told both of these were early 1960's.
I'm now thinking mid 60's.
PAPALAPIN is right...Bob was THE WING MAN. I sure miss visiting with that fellow, he was a wealth of knowledge !
Alan Harford also Wing Pro.agagin rest another one of us...I will have to look for some notes. But all the rosewood Red Wings were gone by around 1965 I beleave.Afetr 1965 bubinga (african rosewood) was used in the risers...So I would guess they are all somewhere from 1961-1965 Red Wings.....bowdoc
I know my '63 Red Wing was a rosewood riser...small tips
The riser is Rosewood. The tip overlays are Rosewood, white glass, then the very ends of the tips are Rosewood.
Thanks for the info guys.
Billy
White Glass?
Now I say a '59'or '60.
All others would have been deep brown glass.
No Jack....dark brown glass on limbs....the white glass is only on tip overlays, sandwhiched between the Rosewood..... Sorry if my last posted was misleading.
