Title: Help I.d. an old bow
Post by: RGK on August 12, 2008, 09:15:00 AM
I recently was shown an old fiberglass (green) bow that was made in Charlevoix, MI. The tiny sticker said:

Stream-Eze Inc.
Charlevoix, Mich.
Model No 35

On the limb was inked 6234 51#

The bow is a two piece straight bow with a maple handle over an aluminum tubular riser that accepted the upper limb. The limb tips were made of plastic and were meant to look like the horn tips of long ago. I did not have my camera so I have no pics. Can anybody shed any light on this company or the bow?

The bow is from the late 30's early 40's. I have several. They were used alot for bowfishing years ago. A couple of mine had fish reels taped on them. I have sold a few of them for around 35.00. Some collectors like them. I have them with wood handles as well as metal handles and I believe even a cork handle.
