i have recently been given an old wing recurve from the 60s or 70s it shoots great but it has been spray painted brown, i guess for hunting but the paint has rubbed off on the handle from being shot and the wood on the bow is really pretty i was just wondering how difficult it would be to take the paint off and restore it to original or if it is worth it, it is RH 45# at 28" and the only distinguishable marks is the metal wing emblem screwed on the the side with a wing going into the the "W" and and arrow dotting the "i" any help would be appreciated.

after doing some research i think the bow is a amf wing slimline red wing pro recurve the limbs are black under the paint and the riser is a few different types of wood if anyone has any knowledge of this bow anything you know about it would great to know. thanks
Acetone or fingernail polish remover will remove the paint in most cases. It would be worth the effort. Cleaned up you have a desireable bow.
thanks for the help
