Anyone have pics. or plans of chuck boxes they use?
Do you mean chuck wagons or chuck pantries? There is an entire subculture of folks who cook this cowboy way and even compete in Chuck Wagon Cook-Off Contests. Chili, roasts, beans, rolls, desserts, etc... Give it a Google.
I made a box a few years ago without any plans. I wanted one container for dishes, pots, pans, skillets, utensils, canned foods, cast iron, etc.
Unfortunately, I made it so big it takes two people to lift or move it around. My suggestion is to keep it manageable in size and weight.
I still use it and once set up, it is great!
Guess I should have mrntioned that it would be for camping.

I saw a good idea at last scout traing day I went to. The mess was contained in a rolling plastic tool box from a big box store . It organized cutlery and utensils nicely. Also made for easy organized access to other kitchen supplies

I have 6 campfire dutch ovens I use regularly. I keep each in individual, made to size(10;12;14;16") canvas zippered bags which can be bought from Lodge Manufacturing or other suppliers. These bags come with carrying straps which allows for easy carry, and will keeps a dirty pan away from other items when you are traveling. Great way to protect your ovens and other gear. The bags are not cheap, but well worth the money.

I use a Rubbermaid 'action packer' for camp kitchen. It's generally either just me or SWMBO and I, so we don't need too much. The benefit I see in the Rubbermaid bin is the smaller size and rounded bottom fit perfectly in my solo canoe, and it's easy to lash to a pack frame. The smaller size also forces me to priortize what I bring.
When I'm backpacking or solo canoeing I just bring a German mess kit, a mug, and a spork.
