I came in 21st overall out of 40 teams that competed. Chicken was surprisingly very low, taking 35th, Ribs were the best showing taking 7th, Pork Shoulder was 21st, and Beef Brisket was 24th. Had a great time, despite some major problems caused by lack of communication by the promoter.
Glad you had fun Al. I find winning isn't everything - especially when it comes to food. Everybody's a winner who's hanging around the cookers. Skinner

Good on ya'! I have been smokin' for about a decade now and have moved it from "hobby" to "obsession". My family loves my ribs...say they're the best they've ever had... it's great to be loved, ain't it!
Have to work on my brisket and pork shoulder. We don't have that too often so my Silver Smoker doesn't have enough experience in those areas...it'll come though.
Again, congrats!
Dean
I love it. I do the contest thing not so much to compete, but to get about 200 friends and family together for a party. Smoking some ribs for my Father-in-law tomorrow AM.
