Title: Marinade/slather for beef
Post by: robtattoo on May 18, 2006, 08:41:00 AM
Don't know if anyone's interested, but here's my favorite marinade/slather for beef. It's perfect to go on a nice lump of topside. I usually slather the meat for 6-8 hours before slow roasting.......

2 tsp English mustard,
5 tsp Dark Soy sauce,
1 tsp fresh groung black pepper,
2 finely chopped cloves of garlic,
1 tsp tomato puree,
10 tsp soft brown sugar,
4 tsp Balsamic vinegar.

Don't know how it'd take to smoking, but I reckon it'd be gooooood  :D

Robert, your recipe is a good one! I can tell by the ingredients that it will turn out simiar to the famous,"Kansas City Masterpiece" BBQ beef. If you ever get to K.C.,Mo. give them a go. You want be disappointed.
