Title: Please do not post on this forum if....
Post by: Terry Green on April 24, 2017, 12:10:00 PM
If you are bent on calling other members that are here to help mythical and blame your problems on bad form and promote bad form in the process....please find another forum for your propaganda....

It won't be tolerated here.... as you will not deny us the pleasure of us helping others shoot better by proper and sound means.

These type posters don't have a clue what they are even talking about.  Just look at that back tension thread you had to clean up. What nonsense.

Oh...and just to be clear....I did clean up that thread...as did another admin.  So don't think what I posted on that thread is directed to anyone's post that is left...

thx

Thanks for removing the nonsense some members were posting on that thread. It serves no purpose but to confuse those members truly trying to learn how to shoot.

No worries....
I received emails about this from others.  So cool how our family protects itself.

There is nowhere on the Web I would rather be when it comes to learning how to become a better archer. Thanks to everyone for the kindness you extend to those of us still trying to figure this out.

crazynate,

I don't want to sound the least bit disrespectful or condescending, but I honestly don't think you have a grasp of basic human physiology.

You can't draw a bow, hold a bow at full draw, or pull thru your release without tension on the rhomboid muscles--it simply is NOT possible.  That's what's called back tension.

When you say, "I don't believe in back tension", to many of us, you'd just as well say, "I don't believe in the moon."  You may not pay attention to the moon, but it's there just the same.

Hi Nate,

QuoteI just said I believe the whole back tension thing is a myth.
About 7 1/2 minutes into this video is a a very specific and graphic illustration of back tension, which is explained in even more detail later in the video:

BEST archery system (https://youtu.be/dTFHHgLKCA0)

I would not want to challenge anyone's belief or disbelief in any concept, as what a person believes in or doesn't believe in is based on faith.  I have my own beliefs, which would be a waste of your time to challenge, and I would not waste my time by challenging yours.

Knowledge, as opposed to belief, is based on education, not faith, and it is possible that your knowledge about back tension could be increased by watching the video, as mine was.  It is in that spirit that I offer it.

He won't be back... this carried over to the powwow. I'm so sick of people making such outlandish claims over and over again and ridiculing people and then when they're called to the carpet they cry about being ridiculed!!!!  Give me a break

Anyone such as him can make claims yet how many of the hundreds of people has he talked to here on tradgang that we're helped who DID grasp the concept of back tension he never talked about that or thought about that did he??? No he just ridiculed all of us and threw us all under the  bus and said it was a bunch of hoop la.
