Title: Question Concerning Draw
Post by: SteelyDan on March 24, 2016, 04:14:00 PM
I draw my bows from a quite low position, pulling with my back muscles and then bring my bow arm and string hand up to anchor. This seems to allow me to make sure I get good back tension and a solid anchor.

I know this may not be the most efficient method of drawing but I am wondering if there any traps or pitfalls that I may be falling into by using this method.
Thanks,
SD

Sounds like swing drawing to me....Howard Hill did it....video would be nice.

But, if it is swing draw and you are happy with your results, you don't need anyone here telling you any different.  However, you should learn to shoot both swing and straight arm ...there are times for both...straight arm is best for less motion on those occasions needing it...and swing draw is deadly when called for.
