Just curious to some 52" recurves besides a bear. I have a 52" Kodiak Mag I would like to retire from hunting and get something a little newer for the feild. Not saying she wouldn't ever make it to the feild. :goldtooth: thought about making my own but between my family, day job and my bussiness I'm all tied up for a long time.
Look in the sponsor classifieds. One of the Bakers is making that size bow or close to it now.
Steve Gorr...Goldenhawk Magnum...
morrison and chekmate make em that length too.
Jack Kempf and Dan Toelke both make 52" Rodney Wright makes a 46" Brent Rudolph/Mark Baker make a 48".
Fellas this is sounding great but i don't know these guys. What is the name of there archery company.
Black Widow PSR and Lone Wolf Banshee are the class of the field. I draw 30" every time and like shooting both of those 52's. LF
Sorry, the Widow is a 54", not 52", nevermind.
I didn't think that BW offered the PSR in anything shorter than 54"? Will they custom make a 52"er?
Chek-Mate makes a 52" 1-piece similar to the Kodiak Mag, called the Raven. I have one in stock, 52@28, red elm limbs, bubinga/maple riser. You can see pictures of them on my site, www.recurves.com (http://www.recurves.com) .
Chad
Gorr is Cascade..I have 2 Golden Hawk Magnums and neither are speedsters, but for their length are VERY stable. One of the two (the lighter poundage one) was my main hunting bow this season.
I have a Ben Pearson i bought off ebay that's 52"
Fedora makes an awesome 52" recurve.
I love my checkamte raven
I was going to say Fedora aswell. I have never shot one but I was on there site last night looking at that very 52" bow. It looks very nice and has sparked my interest. I beleive Shrew makes a 52" but I'm not for certain.

Gene's Viper is a great bow, you can contact him at G&L archery page here: Mantis (http://www.tradbowgeorgia.com/images/Mantis.jpg)
For the money, if you can find a Martin/Nirk Rebel...I think these are very cool little 52" bows, always looking for a good used one myself.
I'd check out Fedora. I have a 54" on order now and I cannot wait to get it.
You really need to take a closer look at Bear Paws bows by Neil Jacobson...his Lite Speed TD Recurves come in 52", I have one and it shoots great and is a looker to boot.

Kent Roberts' TimberGhost is a super bow that comes in a 52" length too...PM me for contact info..

The Jeffery MityMag is a 52 inch that is absolutely top line. It can be had with many options, draws very smoothe with no stack, at least none to just over 29 inches.
Our Sheepeater Spirit recurves are AMO 52 inches, and are 48" strung...and we're offering a special tradgang price till the end of the month....contact info in the sponsors classifieds.
I have a 52" Fedora and like it but for some reason I need to put my nock over an inch above center to get it to shoot for me. I shoot three under so maybe this has something to do with it...I don't know.
That's my 52" CM Raven in the avater. Great treestand/brush bow. Shedua/Black Locust 56@28 29+ draw, no problems.

I love those Chek-Mate Ravens, I'm thinking of getting one myself.
I've got a Sheepeater Spirit on the way hopefully within the next week or two. Should make a sweet treestand\\ground blind bow.
Mike
It seems that there are a lot of us that apreciate short bows. They make those blinds seem 8 foot square.
Another place not talked about much for using shorties is for Rabbit hunting in the willows.
Guys, you all have some really nice looking bows. :saywhat:
I love using my short bow for bunning hunting and getting through the tough spots. I used it deer hunting this year and really enjoyed it and I'd like to get a 50# for the next deer season
Dan Toelke does too!
Chris Kiefner
Just got a 52" fedora stalker GREAT Bow!!
Ron
I went by Bob Lee's place last week and shot his new one piece hunter. It was either 52 or 54 inch. Sweet shooter and realy smokes an arrow.
It is a neat little bow, for sure.
SL
I like the G&L Viper Recurve.
The link for the website given didn't work.
What kind of price range are these bows?
Thanks, Robert
Morrison Cheyenne 52" Max draw is 27"
Bob
Robert, Viper is a great bow. Give Gene Sanders a call. I will PM you the #.
Check out Chads(LBR) they are a nice bow. I owned two of them, I just shoot bows 56"s or longer best. Jack Kempf makes a hell of a bow as well, I shoot his bows pretty much all the time. Shawn
